In the past years Driessens & Verstappen have explored several approaches to breed animations by applying artificial genetics and evolutionary techniques: E-volved Cultures (2005-2011) concentrates on the evolution of the behaviour of cellular automata and Formulae E-volver (2015) is based on the evolution of complex mathematical formulas. The E-volved Formulae reliefs (2017) is a limited series of 6 bas-reliefs executed with the elevated printing technique.
