EquilArbre (2023) is a site-specific artistic experiment with trees, installed at ILVO Flanders Institute for Agriculture and Food Research in Merelbeke, Belgium. Three different trees are planted (a-centric) in a cylindrical pot. The trees will grow and under the increase of their own weight their pots will tilt. The trees are expected to gradually adjust their growth to stay in balance with their pots.

The artwork is also a metaphor for ILVO, an institute that always needs to find a delicate balance between ecological, social and economic interests within our food production system.
